μDays What to Expect
What it is
μDays is a small e‑ink display for a number that matters: days together, days married, days until a wedding, days until a deadline, or any other countdown or count‑up you want to keep visible.
It is meant to feel more like a quiet object than a gadget. Once your screen is loaded, it can sit on a shelf, desk, nightstand, or wall without a power cord, app, Wi‑Fi connection, or daily attention.
When you want a different screen, you can build a new one from the site and load it onto the display again.
How It Works
What to expect when you have a screen
It updates itself, then goes back to sleep
The display wakes once a day at the refresh time you chose when building your screen. It updates the count, saves power, and turns itself off again.
The image stays visible with no power
Because the screen is e‑ink, the image remains on the display even while the board is asleep. Power is mainly used during the brief refresh.
No app, cloud sync, or Wi‑Fi connection
Your screen runs from the file you load onto the device. It does not need to stay connected to your computer, phone, router, or an online account to keep counting.
Refreshes are brief and normal
Black/grey/white screens refresh quickly. Red/black/white screens take longer and may flash during the update. That is normal e‑ink behavior.
You can reprogram it whenever you want
Nothing is permanent. Build a new screen, load the new file, and the same display can become a different countdown, milestone, or daily reminder.
